COX CABLE
I hate COX CABLE. When I got my bill this month I noticed it was $5.00 more than last month. Why did it go up? I've only had the service for 6 months. My contract is for a year. I looked at the statement to review the charges. What is a "CARRIER COST RECOVERY FEE?" Did Cox lose my phone bill and I'm being charged for them to pay a carrier to find it? How about a "UNIVERSAL SERVICE FUND?" What the hell is that? I thought a "fund" was a charity-based collection to benefit a person or a cause? Who decided I should contribute $5.00 to this fund? And what does "universal service" mean? Do they provide cable in outer space or something and we get taxed on it? What the fuck is going on?
I want to walk into the COX CABLE CORPORATE OFFICE and demand an explanation. An explanation that MAKES SENSE. Not some cockameemee BULLSHIT they make up for their employees to tell us over the phone. I want them to admit that all of those extra charges are a scam to make them more money. I want them to explain what kind of "fund" is receiving $5.00 from each customer. Is it going to cancer research? Homeless shelters? Surely they must know where that money is going! Furthermore, I want to find the corporate business owners and punch them in the face. I'll tell them instead of calling it a "UNIVERSAL SERVICE FUND," they should call it, "WE'RE FUCKING YOU UP THE ASS CHARGE AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT."
Because that's exactly what it is.
Because that's exactly what it is.
I HATE COX CABLE.
