I HATE ZOOS


Unless we're talking about an animal sanctuary, or an endangered species animal park, wild animals should be free to live in the wild. Don't argue with me on this one- you have no case.


If you insist on arguing, why don't you first see what it's like on the other side? Go ahead- what are you afraid of? Oh, you mean, you wouldn't like to live in a cage for the rest of your life? You wouldn't like stupid humans throwing peanuts at you? Or taking pictures of you in your "natural" habitat? Come on, now... You wouldn't like that? Why not?! That's a great life! It must be a FUCKING BLAST to be in a cage all day, every day, for the rest of your life. 


Many years ago, I went to a zoo for the last time. I saw a cougar in a cage the size of a shed. No, it was smaller. Much smaller. She was alone. Pacing back and forth, back and forth. She was panting... she was restless and tormented. The look in her eyes was SO DAMN HEARTBREAKING I wanted to find the zookeeper and BEAT THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF HIM. I wanted to ask him if he REALLY believed that cougar belonged in a cage. I wanted to find out if he was ignorant or stupid or just a FUCKING ASSHOLE because if he turned out to be an ASSHOLE I wanted to shove his head into the cougar's cage and make him apologize to her. Then I wanted to put him in his OWN cage, and make him sit there FOR THE REST OF HIS PATHETIC SELFISH LIFE while stupid humans fed him peanuts and laughed at him and took pictures of the DUMB MAN in the cage.
